Samantha Matsuda is the owner of Evolution Equestrian, a tack shop in Courtenay serving horse owners across the Comox Valley and Vancouver Island. She carries new and consignment tack, equestrian gear, and horse-care essentials, with a focus on helping people find what actually works for their horse.

Samantha grew up around horses, competing through 4-H and later the jumper ring, and became a certified riding instructor. She has been in the industry since 2015, starting Evolution Equestrian in her own laundry room and garage, and eventually opening the current storefront in 2023.

Samantha leads with honesty, including about her own mistakes with horses and tack over the years. Whether it's a tack fitting or a first-time consignment, she puts real experience ahead of a sales pitch — and is proud to support the local horse community, one horse and rider at a time.
