Miranda Brooking is the founder of Rest Uncovered, a rest education and consulting practice based on Vancouver Island, working with clients online.

Her work grew not from a textbook but from lived experience. She spent years running on empty, experienced a burnout that stopped her in her tracks for months, and underwent a slow, humbling recovery that changed everything. For much of her life, Miranda treated rest as something to be earned. Even when she stopped, she could not settle. It was not until she was deep in recovery that she began to understand why, and to discover what rest could actually feel like when it was approached with curiosity rather than obligation. That journey became the foundation of the Rest Uncovered Method, a multidimensional framework that explores five phases and five areas of rest. It is not about doing less. It is about understanding what your body and life are genuinely asking for.

Miranda works with people who are approaching depletion, navigating burnout, or simply longing to slow down in a way that feels sustainable. She does not diagnose or prescribe. Instead, she walks alongside them as someone who has lived it. Through workshops, a rest reset program, and one-to-one guidance, she holds space for rest to be uncovered at a pace that honours her clients.

A growing passion in her work is the intersection of perimenopause and burnout. Women at midlife are moving through profound physiological change, yet many women expect the same pace and output as decades before. Miranda believes this is a conversation worth having, gently and honestly, because women in this season of life are not failing to keep up. They are being asked to listen more deeply than ever before, and she is walking proof of that.
