My journey as a coach, mediator, and facilitator has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity about people—what motivates us, how we connect, and how we overcome challenges together.

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked across government, non-profits, and the private sector, supporting individuals and teams as they navigate change, conflict, and leadership growth. Early in my career, I found myself drawn to roles that involved bringing people together—often in complex or high-stakes situations. That led me to deepen my skills in conflict resolution and organizational dynamics, eventually becoming certified in Executive Coaching, Mediation, Lumina Sparks & Teams, and Fierce Conversations. I

’ve since had the privilege of supporting workforces of all sizes, from small teams to organizations with 35,000+ employees. But more than any title or credential, it’s the relationships that matter most to me. I’m passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and empowered to lead with clarity and confidence. Whether I’m working with emerging leaders or seasoned executives, my goal is to create a safe, practical space for learning, reflection, and growth.

Today, I run Lori Hurst Executive Coaching & Consulting from the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. I live here with my husband, and I’m the proud mom of three grown daughters and grandma to four wonderful grandchildren. I love gardening, cooking, and sharing time with family and friends. Coaching, for me, is about helping others find their own way forward—and I’m grateful every day to be part of that process.
