After working in the eye care industry for eight years, I took the leap and opened my own practice with a clear vision of what I wanted it to be. I wanted to create a clinic that reflected my personal values and approach to patient care—one that looked beyond simply prescribing glasses and instead focused on the whole person and how vision impacts everyday life.

I designed Comox Valley Optometry and Vision Therapy to be a welcoming, comfortable space for everyone, from young children and growing families to seniors and individuals recovering from concussive brain injuries. My goal was to create an environment where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their care.

Today, I'm proud to be the only female owner of an optometry practice in our community, leading an incredible team of eight women who share my passion for compassionate, evidence-based care. Our clinic has a special focus on binocular vision, vision therapy, myopia control, and concussion-related visual rehabilitation, which helps patients improve not only how they see, but how they function in their daily lives.

Outside of the clinic, I'm a proud mom of three who understands firsthand the balancing act of running a business while raising a family. I believe that supporting one another and sharing experiences makes us all stronger, and I'm excited to connect with other women entrepreneurs, learn from their journeys, and celebrate each other's successes.
