November Blog Sponsor

Tina Pringle, Yoga Therapist, Owner of Evolve Yoga Therapy

I specialize in making yoga accessible to all and helping people 50+ feel better and move better so they can continue to enjoy all the things they love to do.

I am a Certified Public Accountant by trade. I have spent the past 30 years working in this field. However, over the past 10 years I have found my passion! I have always loved movement and spent my youth practicing figure skating. As an adult in mid-life when I knew I needed more exercise and needed to find something I loved to do, I turned to fitness classes. I explored bootcamp, pilates, TRX and yoga. What I noticed is that I started to feel better and stronger and the more I moved the more I wanted to move. I found that I enjoyed a variety of classes and became a regular participant at Studio IPF. When participating in a personal development course back in 2012 I was challenged to do something out of my comfort zone. What I chose to do was put my secret desire to instruct fitness out into the world. I received overwhelming support. This became a turning point for me. I became a group fitness instructor and began teaching. I fell in love and realized this was the best job ever! I loved the movement, music and connection with like minded individuals. 5 years passed and I decided I would like to learn a little more about yoga. I took a 20 hour introductory training simply to learn how to better lead the stretch portion of my fitness classes. I then knew yoga was a path I was called to follow and spent the next 2 years completing my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Yogafit. Immediately following I knew I needed more. I researched schools and was intrigued by the depth and breadth of the Yoga Therapy program offered by Ajna Yoga in Victoria. I took my first module in 2020. About that same time, I opened Evolve Yoga and began teaching online classes and private lessons. I certified as a Yoga Therapist in 2022. I am passionate about helping people feel better and move better. I regularly receive feedback from clients about all the ways this practice has helped them. This is the most rewarding career I could have ever imagined! I currently teach fitness, therapeutic yoga classes and offer private yoga therapy.

Business Tip of the Month - Social Media

Are you social media savvy? Maybe you dabble here and there in making posts for your target audience, or maybe you want to learn how to use social media to your advantage to reach your audience further. Either way, we've got a helpful tip for all business owners that are or want to be using social media to their advantage!

Each social media platform has it's own ways to best generate engagement from your audience. When using a particular platform, such as Facebook, Instagram or Tiktok, think about these questions:

  • Why am I using this platform?

  • Who am I trying to reach on this platform?

  • What post types work best on this platform? Video posts? Single image posts?

  • How are my posts unique to this platform? What makes them different from those in my same industry?

If you struggle to answer any of these questions, you may need to do a bit more research into why you are trying to use this platform for your social media strategy! Think about your target audience and where they consume information to help you choose the right social media platform(s) for your business.
