President's Message

Greetings!
As I move into this new position with trepidation, I know it will be a challenge to follow in the
footsteps of Bobbie Norton. Please join me in thanking Bobbie for all of her fantastic work and many hours as our President this past year.
As we move forward in this next year, I would really like to hear from members as we should be driving the direction of our WBN experience together.
Do you have something you think would really help you in your business? Know an incredible speaker? Or would you like some downtime in our networking meetings where you get to know your fellow WBN members better? Please reach out to the board members with your insights!
And speaking of board members we still have a few vacant positions on the board and we would really love it, if you would join us. Many hands make light work and for the WBN to run most efficiently the board positions need to be filled. Don’t be shy, step up, join in the fun, expand your skills and help us make the WBN the best that it can be.
Lastly… Are you joining us for our windup garden party? Get your ticket now! Guest are welcome. It’s sure to be a great meal and fun gathering networking with passionate businesswomen!

Building Opportunities for Organizations using our Strengths and Talents
The BOOST program was created in 2011, to support a local registered non-profit organization each year.
As a diverse group of women, we offer our support monetarily, and also with skills and talents which may not otherwise be available to the recipient group. Our intention is to further develop their purpose and fulfill their wish lists.

We start each membership year in September, announcing our B.O.O.S.T. recipient. For the remainder of our membership year, we raise funds monthly through 50/50 draws at our meetings, through other events hosted by members and through a yearly WBN fundraiser event
Do you have a favourite non-profit that you'd like to nominate to be our B.O.O.S.T. recipient next year?
